In this talk, we compare the coldness of this world to the pure love of God’s kingdom. Anyone in their right mind would have to say God’s kingdom is the better offer.

There’s a warmth and peace among the citizens of the kingdom because they’re filled with the love of God. Real children of God act and live like their heavenly father, and this love builds unity. Pure love is what the kingdom of heaven offers while Satan’s world is cold and empty.

Love is not an emotion. The world says love is how someone makes you feel or how you feel about someone else, but God says love is about how you behave and treat others according to his law of righteousness. God is love (1 John 4:7-10). Love is moral character of God. Love is outlined in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8:

4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. 8 Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! (NLT)

The King James Bible version quotes it this way:

4 Charity [Love] suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. (KJV)

God is love

7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God, and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (1 John 4:7-10)
