Here’s how to get rid of guilty thoughts of any kind. Verbally speak to the spirits behind them. Declare your freedom from guilt and acceptance in Jesus Christ.

I got a few responses from men dealing with the guilt of fornication. This is nothing to continue to accept. This is the enemy at work. Here’s how to get rid of guilty thoughts from not just fornication but any kind of sin.

If you’ve confessed and repented of the sin, then God has washed it away. You are forgiven and God has forgotten about it.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)

That belittling, shaming, guilt-feeling comes from the devil, not from God. The is the enemy trying to condemn you, and hinder your usefulness for God. Use this response:

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:1-2)

Don’t allow the enemy, or anyone else for that matter, to condemn you for sins you’ve repented of. Continue to believe what Jesus said:

Look! I have given you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to destroy all the enemy’s power, and nothing will ever hurt you. (Luke 10:19)

The way to deal with guilt thoughts is to verbally speak to the spirits behind them. Declare your freedom from guilt and condemnation. Proclaim that you’ve been forgiven and they have no right to bring up your past.

Literally, your sins have been washed away through the blood of Jesus. They can’t be brought up because they don’t even exist anymore!

If you keep confessing this—really mean it, and believe ityou’ll soon get peace in your soul. You’ll be able to lift up your head again, and those spirits will be gone (James 4:7). This isn’t to say they won’t try to condemn you for something else in the future, but just repeat what you did as before.

You can make the same confession to people who bring up your past as well. You can rebuke them and tell them to “get behind me Satan,” as Jesus said to Peter, who was temporarily under the influence of Satan (Matthew 16:23).

Sexual transmitted diseases

If there’s an STD involved, you don’t have to accept that, even though you were responsible for it. Ask God for healing. If you’ve confessed and repented, then you’re now in right standing with God. The word says:

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

Ask God mercy, and if it’s his will, he will cleanse the disease. Now move forward in God. And most importantly, go and sin no more (John 8:11).

As we rely on God’s power (not our own), and as we stay focused on his purpose for our lives, we’ll be less likely to fall into sin in the future (John 15:5, Matthew 6:33).
