In this sermon, I respond to the top five things women say about polygyny and why they could never be apart of this kind of family structure.
The featured image is from Sister Wives an American reality television series broadcast on TLC that began airing in 2010. The show documents the life of a polygamist family, which includes patriarch Kody Brown, his four wives, and their 18 children.
The following things I’ve heard from women who have a problem with polygyny. Many of these statements and arguments come from ignorance about polygyny.
- “My man belongs to me, I won’t share him”
- “I get jealous and envious”
- “It’s all about sex with poly-men”
- “He wont be able to spend enough time with his family”
- “Am I not enough?”
