Good & Bad News Monday, February 6, 2012
I can’t give you the good news without giving you the bad news first. Here goes the bad news:
Take a look at the state of this world, of America, and of Detroit city. Look at the corruption in this city’s leadership: there is greed, murders and cover-ups.
Look at this nation’s economy and the corruption behind it: people are losing their homes, jobs have dried up and homelessness is at an all time high. The public education system has failed our children. The dropout rates have become a crisis and graduation rates have fallen.
Fatherless families have become the norm. Mothers have killed over 53,000,000 babies through abortion to this date. Earthquakes, tsunamis and hurricanes destroy entire lands and kill thousands of people.
Hip-hop, rock and the music of this time promotes violence, rebellion and sexual promiscuity. In other countries, orphans are sold like cattle as sex slaves on an Oriental market.
People are full of shame, guilt, depression and anguish, and they turn to street drugs, prescription drugs and alcohol to cope, only to make their lives worse. With so much weighing down on the lives of so many people, adults and more increasingly teens, commit suicide because they feel there’s no hope.
