A got a few responses from men dealing with the guilt of fornication. This is nothing to continue to experience. This is the enemy at work, here’s how to get rid of the guilt.

This message is for anyone struggling with guilt because of past sexual sin. IF you’ve confessed and repented, then God has washed away that sin and you have been forgiven, he’s forgotten about it.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)

That belittling, guilt feeling comes from the devil. But Jesus said:

Look! I have given you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to destroy all the enemy’s power, and nothing will ever hurt you. (Luke 10:19)

The way to deal with guilt thoughts is to verbally speak to them:

“Get away from me you punk devil, in the name of Jesus! I’ve been forgiven, God has forgotten, and you have no right to bring this up again. I am free to serve God!”

Tell that devil,

“My sins have been washed away in the blood of Jesus Christ! If you want to bring them up, you’ve got to go under BLOOD!”

Satan’s not going under the blood of Jesus 🙂 If you keep repeating this and really mean it and believe it, you’ll feel a sense of peace, you’ll be able to lift you head again and that devil will leave (James 4:7).

I’d say the same thing to people who try to bring up the past. Call them “Devil” if you have to because Jesus did it to Peter.

If there’s an STD involved, you don’t have to accept that even though you were responsible for it. Ask God for healing. IF you’ve confessed and repented, then you’re now in right standing with God. Paul says: “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain MERCY and find grace to help in time of NEED” (Heb 4:16).

Rebuke the devil, get healing and more forward in God. And most importantly, go and sin no more (John 8:11).

As we rely on God’s power (not our own), as we stay focused on his purpose and his will, we won’t even fall into sin. (John 15:5, Matt 6:33).
