A follow up to “How to Spot a Harlot.” In this post, we review the consequences of fornication and adultery.

The words of an immoral woman may be as sweet as honey and as smooth as olive oil. But all that you really get from being with her is bitter poison and pain (vs 3-4 CEV).

I could easily interpret the “bitter poison and pain” in the above verse to mean: the effects of a STD, but this isn’t just physical pain in your body from some disease, God is talking about spiritual pain.

Proverbs chapter five was written for born again, men of God. I say this because we are usually the ones who experience the feeling of “bitter poison and pain” after committing such a nasty act as fornication.

This kind of pain is realizing you’ve screwed up your relationship with God and fragmented your soul with everyone else she’s been with.

As with any kind of sin, whether it be lying, pride, or whatever, these can leave a bitter taste in our mouths – but with fornication, it’s so bitter that it makes you want to vomit.

The world gladly fornicates and thinks nothing about messing up their relationship with God, because they don’t have one. Sinners don’t experience pain unless someone breaks their heart, or they catch a STD.

I want to emphasis the fact that, as a man of God, soul pain is guaranteed if you fornicate, but with the increase in STDs, physical pain in the genital area is also a guarantee. The following are some stats from the CDC and Advert.org about Chlamydia.

The stats show that you should probably avoid fornication, if not for your soul’s sake, at least for your health’s. In these last and evil days, it’s extremely likely for anyone having premarital sex to contract something. Condoms don’t protect you. This is serious stuff. And just because she says she’s a Christian doesn’t lessen your chances. If you’re fornicating, you’re at risk, especially in the black community.

Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body (1 Corinthians 6:18).

She’s a ticket to hell

If you follow her, she will lead you down to the world of the dead (vs 5 CEV).

Even though we’ve heard these scriptures over and over again, it’s important to keep them in our minds. God clearly says:

Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge (Heb 13:4).

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor 6:9-10).

The cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (Rev 21:8)

I must make mention that God says, “Don’t be deceived”. Many have said, “Well, I’m a Christian and I’m going to heaven.” But this isn’t true if you continue to practice sin. Many make this claim because of the doctrine of Eternal Security, which states that a person can’t lose their salvation, no matter what.

You have to be deceived to think that you can enter into the holy, kingdom of God, yet continue to practice the same sins Jesus Christ died for. Jesus said to confess your sins, repent and to follow him (1 John 1:9, Matthew 4:17, Matthew 16:24). Jesus didn’t say, “Keep your sin and claim me as your Savior.” Men of God: fornication will lead to hell.

This is how we know if we’re really “Men of God”:

5 You know that Christ came to take away sins. He isn’t sinful, 6 and people who stay one in their hearts with him won’t keep on sinning. If they do keep on sinning, they don’t know Christ, and they have never seen him. 7 Children, don’t be fooled. Anyone who does right is good, just like Christ himself. 8 Anyone who keeps on sinning belongs to the devil. He has sinned from the beginning, but the Son of God came to destroy all that he has done. 9 God’s children cannot keep on being sinful. His life-giving power lives in them and makes them his children, so that they cannot keep on sinning. 10 You can tell God’s children from the devil’s children, because those who belong to the devil refuse to do right or to love each other. (1 John 3:5-10 CEV).

She has no clue

She has missed the path that leads to life and doesn’t even know it (vs 6 CEV).

This shows you how she operates: in blindness. She has no idea that fornication has put her on the path to destruction. She doesn’t know that she’s damaging her own soul and body. I think it’s best to pray for young women who engage in fornication.

Many of the young women I knew back in the institutional church engaged in harlotry without a real understanding of it. Back then, I didn’t fully understand it myself either. But now that I do, it’s important to correct them, and pray that the blinders be removed so that these women can wake up and have a chance to be saved.

I refuse to look down on any woman who practices this sin, but I do have to say, that the one thing I do have contempt for is the hypocrisy of some Christian women. If you’re whore, just admit it. Quit pretending like you don’t engage in immorality when you know you do.

Out of all the female friends I had in the harlot church, most of them were honest about either struggling with or practicing fornication – I respected this a lot. But some, usually the youth leaders, who were teaching teenage girls about abstinence, were the ones that were engaged in the same fornication they were telling their students to stay away from – I hate that! I can understand why they covered up their sin, but it’s just best to come clean if not for your own peace of mind, for your soul’s sake (Proverbs 28:13).

I also understand that promiscuity is birthed from the lack of a godly men in a young girl’s life. I’m not saying that everyone who practices fornication doesn’t have a good father, I’m just saying, in most of the cases that I know of, an absent or neglectful father was the source. Let’s pray for women who have no clue that fornication is leading them to hell.

My son, listen to me and do everything I say. Stay away from a bad woman! Don’t even go near the door of her house (vs 7-8 CEV).

Even though I sympathize with these women, the proverbs tells me to stay away from them. “Don’t even go near the door of her house.” This means that we should probably lose her address, delete her from our Facebook friends, and spam label her emails (if we have to go that far). You should destroy the items she’s given you, and get rid of her scent in your car (as discussed in part 1 of this study).

The idea is: avoid anything that would lead to fornication. Do all you can to stay away from her (1 Cor 5:11, 14). The mere proximity to her could lead to fornication. Don’t allow your flesh to say, “I’m strong enough to handle this.” The scripture says, “Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall” (1 Cor 10:12). You must cut off every avenue that could potentially lead to fornication.

Loss of self-respect & money

You will lose your self-respect and end up in debt to some cruel person for the rest of your life (vs 9 CEV).

If you don’t stay away from here. You’ll have this testimony:

As a christian, you used to be clean and pure, perhaps you were a virgin, or had been celibate for quite some time. But now, after defiling yourself with this whore, you look at yourself in the mirror with disdain. You feel dirty inside. You may even become depressed. The proverb is telling us how we will feel if we engage in fornication.

In debt to some cruel person for the rest of your life (vs 9b CEV).

What this passage seems to be saying is: the man has spent all his money on this woman, or multiple women. He’s borrowed money just to satisfy them. Whores require payment. Once again, God’s not just talking about hookers, call girls, porn stars, strippers and escorts, he talking about that whore you call a girlfriend. You’re really a “john” and she’s the “prostitute”, in God’s eyes.

That “girlfriend” requires payment in the form of gifts and attention. She “performs” based off of what you give her. So, because you’ve become so drunk with her services, you’ll end up spending most of your money on her, and finally max out your credit cards just to please her. But of course, since you can’t pay her anymore, she leaves you. And all you have left are those harassing, cruel, collection agencies calling for repayment. Your debt is huge and you have nothing to show for it. You look in the mirror and say, “What a fool I’ve become for chasing all these women.”

I think to myself, why would a guy give all his money to some chick he’s not even married to? Because she has his mind. She’s filled him with insatiable lust. He can never be satisfied, and he must keep going back to her – she knows this. She’s controlling him with her vagina. It’s witchcraft. It’s manipulation. He’s become bound to her through sex. She has become his source of life – and she knows that. She can ask for anything she wants and get it. The vagina is the drug, and that man will pay whatever he can to get more. He’s addicted to something that will never satisfy him.

Strangers will get your money and everything else you have worked for (vs 10 CEV).

Because you spent your life chasing harlots, you don’t have a wife or children to pass your legacy down to – you have no next generation. If you got married, had children, and avoided these whores, you wouldn’t have this problem. But because of your immoral lifestyle, when you die, everything you own will go up for auction to strangers.

Pimp Wages

When it’s all over, your body will waste away, as you groan … (vs 11 CEV).

Back in the days, before I was a Christian, I had a long talk with an actual retired pimp – a potential website client who was referred to me by a deacon/web designer. The deacon had designed this pimp’s porno website, and I guess he got convicted and didn’t want to work with him anymore, so he passes his client to me. This happens often between web designers, and you have to be on guard because, usually, the referral isn’t a good one. But being naive at the time, I accepted the referral.

So I had to meet the client to find out his needs. It was only until I arrived at the pimp’s house that I found out that the website that needed work was a porn site, and that the client was a former pimp. It’s funny how those details were left out of the referral exchange.

All this man could talk about was pimping, pimping, pimping. For at least an hour he blabbed about how “wise” he was in “managing hoes.” He began to teach me how to be a pimp. I forgot most of it, but from what I do remember, it lines up with some of the methods I read about later on. For any man to be a pimp, he has to absolutely hate women. Even as a sinner at the time, I said to myself, “I can’t treat a woman like that.”

He wanted me to think he was so wise, but he was foolish. This guy was 56 years old, but his face and voice was like that of an 80 year old man. He looked really bad – like he had one foot in the grave. He had been pimping since he was a young man, and now that the profession of exploiting women had dried up (along with his body), his last and final source of sustaining a living was the hoped success of his new porn endeavor.

Famous pimp "Magic Juan"
Famous pimp “Magic Juan”

I never did any work for this man because the maintenance of his website was beyond my skill level. But I left his home thinking: Pimping has no benefits. This guy had no family – nobody – and all his hoes were gone. I now realize why he talked so much, and why it seemed as if he was trying to take me under his wing to further his “pimp legacy” – he was a lonely old man with no one.

This was a sad state: a man who’d spent most of his life practicing witchcraft and fornication. His tired appearance was the result of all the immorality. His body was wasting away from all the souls he’d joined himself to through sex.

His life was on the verge of an end, and he was trying to stay afloat with the only thing he knew how to do: mistreat and exploit women. He thought he was alive, but he was already dead. He bragged about how he manipulated and “broke” women to use on the street. But now he was broke, and the devil had manipulated him. While he thought he was “the man”, the devil had been killing him slowly every since he decided to take advantage of young women. Those whores sucked the life out of him. He was a victim just as much as the women he used and hated. When I read Proverbs 5:11, this man came to mind, his body was wasting away, and when he talked, he didn’t speak, he groaned.

Deep Regrets

When it’s all over your, your body will waste away, as you groan and shout, “I hated advice and correction! I paid no attention to my teachers, and now I am disgraced in front of everyone” (vs 11-14 CEV)

Once again, this proverb is to believers. Notice it says that he had advisers – he had people who were trying to tell him to stop fornicating – but he didn’t listen. God corrects his children, as learned in Proverbs 3:11-12. This proverb says that God won’t just let his children sin (or hurt themselves) without any rebukes and exhortations – that would be unloving. This also shows us what we must do when we see another brother or sister in sin (Jude 1:22-23, Gal 6:1, 2 Tim 4:2). It’s love to correct your brother who’s engaged in fornication. But often times, instead of love, we commit another sin by gossiping about them.

God will give us warnings along the trail to convince us to repent. God will use people, blogs, YouTube, STDs, TV programs, and anything he feels could prevent us from going any further down the path to hell. God loves his people and doesn’t want them to hurt themselves. But God isn’t going to force us to abstain from sin.

If you don’t listen to God and continue in fornication, you’ll eventually come to yourself and see all the damage you caused in your life and regret it deeply. You’ll groan, as the proverb says, and shout, “I hated advice and correction! I paid no attention to my teachers, and now I am disgraced in front of everyone.”

Let’s review. If you practice fornication you will experience spiritual pain and bitterness for realizing what you’ve done to your relationship with God, and to your own soul. You will get an STD and have to experience the pain of dealing with that. You may very well lose a lot of your money. You will groan in regret for not taking the advice of God sooner. When you’re old, you’ll lose your legacy to strangers at an auction, and finally, you’ll go to hell and burn for all eternity because you didn’t repent.

Who wants to experience all of that? I don’t.

  1. Thank you brother i have come across your teachings and im even feel to cry simple because i have sin against the holy father JEHOVAH GOD who has save my life many times instead of me to praise God i sin against God through fornication .So please remember me in your prayers and ask forgiveness for me because i need to wash and become clean by his holy spirit amen.

    1. Harry, I’ll put you on the prayer list as well. But you’re going to have to ask God for forgiveness yourself. He’ll do it, if you really agree and acknowledge that you’ve sinned (1 John 1:9). Then he’ll wash it clean. I understand your situation, I too felt this way about sexual sin, but the Lord can deliver you as he did me. Trust him, he wants to set you free.

      1. Hello I woke up out of my sleep to look up what make a woman a whore or what the spirit is called I’m not loud but I hate being corrected and I’ve slept with men unmarried and even conceived children my body hurts as if I’m an old woman and I’m depressed and unhappy all I ever wanted was a husband and I wasn’t patient I really want to do the right thing I try to humble myself but that lustful feeling and thoughts come back after so long I hate I’m this way I’m thinking about confessing to the pastor and first lady and even speaking about it in church.

        1. Queneka,
Your soul longs for the Lord God, but your flesh has been using sex to replace him. You need to be born again, and filled with the Holy Spirit.

Confess your sins to God, ask for forgiveness, be filled with his Spirit, and command those spirits of lust to go.

Even if you were to get married, a man wouldn’t satisfy the emptiness in your soul; that place is reserved for God. Only reconnection to God will heal and restore your soul.
